Eugênio Loureiro was a little too slow when Nestor Fontenelle got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 3-0. Dé Pernambucano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rota66's Eugênio Loureiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Rota66 from getting a goal against them. Eugênio Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Fontenelle in the 20th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Rota66's Betinho Leite got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute of the match Progresso FC got a corner. Rota66's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benedito Sergipano ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience was convinced that Nestor Fontenelle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugênio Loureiro was relentless in the 28th minute of the game.
