In the 10th minute Horacio Jesus Espinace shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugênio Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elder Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Osvaldo Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, Rota66 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Tomasz Bakes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eugênio Loureiro. Rota66's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rota66's Dé Pernambucano got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Osvaldo Abraão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elder Mazza in the 28th minute of the match. When Alexandre Meira fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Empate Esporte Clube's protests and gave Alexandre Meira a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Empate Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osvaldo Abraão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 47 minutes of play, Empate Esporte Clube's Tomasz Bakes made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugênio Loureiro was left in no man's land by his defense there!
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomasz Bakes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Osvaldo Abraão came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Rota66's Elder Mazza. But to his dismay, Elder Mazza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Betinho Leite recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Elder Mazza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldo Abraão was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Abelardo Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Abraão having to interfere. Dé Pernambucano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osvaldo Abraão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Chaves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dé Pernambucano stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Empate Esporte Clube's defenders and the ball went out. Rota66 appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. Elder Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Abraão having to interfere.
