Breno Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hortêncio Costa came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Progresso FC's Alexsandro Oliveira. But to his dismay, Alexsandro Oliveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 7th minute Alexsandro Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8 minutes AGE Guarany's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Norberto Romero who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, AGE Guarany's Cristiano Félix got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 15th minute Giuseppe Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konrad Gardocki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Progresso FC:s Konrad Gardocki showed great skill when he stopped Ernesto Branco:s penalty. The referee felt a red card was in order, 25 minutes into the game, when Celso Dracena put in a rough tackle. Alexsandro Oliveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hortêncio Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Konrad Gardocki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Branco in the 34th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Veloso during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rafael Veloso hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Alexsandro Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Progresso FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexsandro Oliveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hortêncio Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Alexsandro Oliveira took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Hortêncio Costa to make any attempt to save it. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind AGE Guarany's goalkeeper Hortêncio Costa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rafael Veloso hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Hortêncio Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexsandro Oliveira in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexsandro Oliveira in the 53rd minute of play forced AGE Guarany's goalkeeper Hortêncio Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute Alexsandro Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, AGE Guarany's goal looked a bit too open when Alexsandro Oliveira came free, but Hortêncio Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alexsandro Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexsandro Oliveira in the 69th minute of play forced AGE Guarany's goalkeeper Hortêncio Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind AGE Guarany's goalkeeper Hortêncio Costa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the AGE Guarany defense, Ian Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hortêncio Costa. The AGE Guarany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hortêncio Costa should have stopped the shot. Dráusio Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexsandro Oliveira in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hortêncio Costa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 77 played minutes AGE Guarany got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Veloso. Progresso FC's Maicon de Moraes was substituted for Amílton Talló. Progresso FC made a substitution. Valdir Garcia replaced Breno Pires. In the 79th match minute, AGE Guarany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Veloso to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes Progresso FC got a freekick which was hit by Valdir Garcia. Baldomero Jurdan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konrad Gardocki having to interfere. In the 85th minute Alexsandro Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cristóvão Toledo fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Progresso FC's protests and gave Cristóvão Toledo a yellow card for diving instead. Cristóvão Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Valdir Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
