In the 13th minute, E.C CFM's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cauã Fantini fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cauã Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabinho de Sousa having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, E.C CFM's goalkeeper Fabinho de Sousa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cauã Fantini. After a defensive mix-up in E.C CFM's zone, Cauã Fantini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabinho de Sousa came out of the goal and Cauã Fantini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Chapolins's Adalberto de Andrade got a free kick in the 19th minute. Adalberto de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Dito Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Cauã Fantini kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fabinho de Sousa. That made the score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Chapolins's goal looked a bit too open when Walmir Furlan came free, but Tales Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Gustavo de Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabinho de Sousa having to interfere. When Walmir Furlan came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the E.C CFM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walmir Furlan couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Chapolins booed when E.C CFM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chiquinho Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Chapolins getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Adalberto de Andrade hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Cauã Fantini made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in E.C CFM's zone, Dito Hoffmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabinho de Sousa came out of the goal and Dito Hoffmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chapolins's Tales Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmir Furlan in the 57th minute of play. After 58 minutes of play, Chapolins's Cauã Fantini made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabinho de Sousa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Délio Lopez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabinho de Sousa having to make a save. In the 76th minute, Leopoldo Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chiquinho Fonseca's late challenge caught a Chapolins's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chiquinho Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th match minute, E.C CFM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chiquinho Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Cauã Fantini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabinho de Sousa was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Armandinho Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 86th minute Cauã Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabinho de Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Dito Hoffmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabinho de Sousa. E.C CFM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dito Hoffmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nico Paiva got free with Tales Sergipano in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
