The audience thought a goal was coming when Bengt Bouchard got free with Décio Rezende in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sílvio Luiz Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Paraibano having to interfere. FÊNIX F.C.'s Alfredo Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erwin Soto in the 32nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FÊNIX F.C.'s zone, Carlos Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Paraibano came out of the goal and Carlos Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredo Paraibano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erwin Soto's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Sílvio Luiz Mazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júnior Baiano hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Décio Rezende made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bengt Bouchard in the 48th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bengt Bouchard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquinhos Teixeira in the 53rd minute of play forced Caveira F.C's goalkeeper Décio Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Erwin Soto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredo Paraibano. FÊNIX F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erwin Soto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. FÊNIX F.C. made a substitution. Valério Zonta replaced Tiago Gabriel Damião. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erwin Soto in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Paraibano saved FÊNIX F.C. from getting behind. 68 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Alfredo Paraibano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erwin Soto. Caveira F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maksymilian Sanocki in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute Kauã Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Décio Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Paraibano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tito Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute Caveira F.C were awarded a corner. Maksymilian Sanocki went to the cornerflag to take it. Caveira F.C's Maksymilian Sanocki was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alfredo Paraibano in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erwin Soto in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Paraibano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erwin Soto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Caveira F.C's Sílvio Luiz Mazza got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle sounded Caveira F.C left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FÊNIX F.C..
