Raúl Domingues scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juninho Velasco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guaicurus SC's Fernando Carvalho managed to work through Só de Fula F.C.'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Fernando Carvalho dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Gláuber Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Guaicurus SC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Júlio de Almeida hit a great ball. Gláuber Senna took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juninho Velasco. Juninho Velasco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro de Brito in the 13th minute of play forced Guaicurus SC's goalkeeper Juninho Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Lauro de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Só de Fula F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Lauro de Brito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juninho Velasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Júlio de Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guaicurus SC's protests and gave Júlio de Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Só de Fula F.C. booed when Guaicurus SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lauro de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Velasco having to interfere. Matheus Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute, Fernando Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Só de Fula F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Víktor Leme came free, but Alberto Albuquerque reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Víktor Leme in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Fernando Carvalho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guaicurus SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After a rather tough play, Só de Fula F.C.'s Lauro de Brito got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute, Guaicurus SC's Víktor Leme ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alberto Albuquerque. Alberto Albuquerque yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Fernando Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guaicurus SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 69th play minutes Matheus Linares shot 2-4, a short shot which went by Juninho Velasco and just under the crossbar into goal. 79 minutes into the match, Guaicurus SC's goal looked a bit too open when Matheus Linares came free, but Juninho Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 80 minutes, Clemente Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Só de Fula F.C. and the Guaicurus SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Clemente Queirós hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 86 minutes of play Só de Fula F.C.'s Clemente Queirós was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Só de Fula F.C. getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Clemente Queirós hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, Guaicurus SC's Mazinho Peres broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 90th minute, Víktor Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matheus Linares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matheus Linares got free with Juninho Velasco in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over Só de Fula F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Guaicurus SC throughout the match.
