After a rather tough play, Limoeiro-PE FC's Luís Fabiano Fontes got a free kick in the 14th minute. Adalberto de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doni Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 20th match minute, Guarani Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto da Cunha to maneuver through the defense. Adalberto de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Neto in the 21st minute of play. Limoeiro-PE FC's Doni Barbosa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Adalberto de Moraes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Limoeiro-PE FC fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Limoeiro-PE FC's Ian Melo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 33 minutes, Ian Melo made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Guarani Futebol Clube's Adalberto de Moraes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 40 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferenc Puskás came free, but Daniël De Goeij reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richard Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adalberto de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doni Barbosa in the 47th minute of the match. Limoeiro-PE FC's Richard Neto got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Guarani Futebol Clube's Adalberto de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Neto in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Limoeiro-PE FC's Richard Neto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. In the 61st minute, Richard Neto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Adalberto de Moraes. The goal made the score 0-5. In the 66th minute, Gernando Custódio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reginaldo do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Guarani Futebol Clube's zone, Doni Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adalberto de Moraes came out of the goal and Doni Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd match minute, Guarani Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferenc Puskás to maneuver through the defense. Limoeiro-PE FC made a substitution. Gino do Valle replaced Richard Neto. After having played for 82 minutes, Orhun Taran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guarani Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orhun Taran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doni Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Adalberto de Moraes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limoeiro-PE FC. In the 85th minute, Ferenc Puskás got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Limoeiro-PE FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Gino do Valle hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Gino do Valle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adalberto de Moraes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. In the 96th minute Doni Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
