Vítor Silva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ademar Arantes's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Vítor Silva made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Ademar Arantes sent off a good shot on target. If Fernandão Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernandão Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacinto Varela hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Horácio Linares in the 25th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Dilapdar's Jacinto Varela. Ademar Arantes did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Vítor Silva 33 minutes into the match. Hernani Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Silva having to interfere. A hard shot 41 in the game by Ademar Arantes from a close distance when the talented Vítor Silva managed to make a qualified save. FLACONQUISTA's players were relieved. With his leg Vítor Silva managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Dilapdar's Ademar Arantes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 44 minutes, Fernandão Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FLACONQUISTA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandão Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernandão Carneiro made a kick off. FLACONQUISTA were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Dilapdar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Álvaro Hermes took the corner. In the 55thth minute of the game Ademar Arantes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FLACONQUISTA's Vítor Silva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FLACONQUISTA's Vítor Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademar Arantes in the 57th minute of play. Vítor Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademar Arantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademar Arantes in the 63rd minute of play forced FLACONQUISTA's goalkeeper Vítor Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FLACONQUISTA's Vítor Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernani Rodrigues in the 64th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ademar Arantes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vítor Silva was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hernani Rodrigues in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vítor Silva saved FLACONQUISTA from getting behind. Vítor Silva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ademar Arantes's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Vítor Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademar Arantes in the 75th minute of play. Osmar Neiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Paulo Senna in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Dilapdar's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandão Carneiro came free, but Osmar Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 played minutes Dilapdar got a freekick which was hit by Frédson Paraíba. 96 minutes into the game, Fernandão Carneiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Osmar Neiva. Fernandão Carneiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
