After a defensive mix-up in Brigido EC's zone, Ademar Arantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magno Pitta came out of the goal and Ademar Arantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute, Téo Vergílio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osmar Neiva was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Ademar Arantes scored 2-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Magno Pitta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Denílson Alvarenga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Osmar Neiva skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 41st minute of the match, Eriberto Esteves got a very nice opportunity to score, but Osmar Neiva was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After having played for 45 minutes, Eriberto Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brigido EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eriberto Esteves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilvan Sergipano's late challenge caught a Brigido EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilvan Sergipano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th match minute, Dilapdar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilvan Sergipano to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ademar Arantes made a kick off. The supporters of Dilapdar booed when Brigido EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamílton Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magno Pitta made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Ademar Arantes sent off a good shot on target. 56 minutes into the match, Eriberto Esteves notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Dilapdar's Osmar Neiva. In the 77th minute Denílson Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osmar Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
