Spectators: 7655 (Terracing: 5743, Seating: 1760, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ademar Arantes started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes of play, Guub United's Sérgio Velloso made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osmar Neiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! Osmar Neiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mário Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Ademar Arantes sped through Guub United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Levente Majer. If Hernani Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 23rd match minute, Dilapdar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Amorim to maneuver through the defense. After 24 played minutes Dilapdar got a freekick which was hit by Patrick de Lara. In the 26th minute, Mário Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Vito Bezerra fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dilapdar's protests and gave Vito Bezerra a yellow card for diving instead. Vito Bezerra hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wágner Zonta in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Osmar Neiva saved Dilapdar from getting behind. The supporters of Dilapdar booed when Guub United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Jacinto Varela notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Guub United's Levente Majer. Levente Majer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mário Araújo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Mário Araújo stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Dilapdar's defenders and the ball went out. Guub United appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. In the 37th minute, Francisco Breckenfeld hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osmar Neiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Breckenfeld in the 40th minute of play. Levente Majer made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Ademar Arantes sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the match, Guub United's goalkeeper Levente Majer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ademar Arantes. 47 minutes into the game, Hernani Rodrigues recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Levente Majer. Hernani Rodrigues showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Levente Majer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernani Rodrigues in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Araújo in the 55th minute of play forced Dilapdar's goalkeeper Osmar Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute Guub United were awarded a corner. Mário Araújo went to the cornerflag to take it. Guub United's Mário Araújo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Osmar Neiva in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Guub United's attack was well implemented in the 57th minute, but when Francisco Breckenfeld was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Francisco Breckenfeld got in the 57th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Osmar Neiva handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Guub United's Francisco Breckenfeld managed to work through Dilapdar's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Francisco Breckenfeld dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Osmar Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. With a little luck, Dilapdar's Osmar Neiva got control of the ball when Mário Araújo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Guub United booed when Dilapdar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frédson Paraíba didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Guub United's Mário Araújo got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 66 played minutes Dilapdar got a freekick which was hit by Vito Bezerra. A collision led to Dilapdar getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Vito Bezerra hit a great ball. With a little luck, Dilapdar's Osmar Neiva got control of the ball when Francisco Breckenfeld tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Sérgio Velloso could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Osmar Neiva however easily saved by the left post. Osmar Neiva was a little too slow when Mário Araújo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 3-2. When Dilapdar's Ademar Arantes in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guub United's goalie prevented a goal. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Guub United getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Ediberto Madureira hit a great ball. Dilapdar's Osmar Neiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Dilapdar from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mário Araújo during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 90th minute, Mário Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernani Rodrigues blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Levente Majer having to make a save. Ademar Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Levente Majer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute Ademar Arantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Levente Majer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Guub United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dilapdar.
