In the 32nd minute, Tiago Gabriel Botelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gusmão Vilela in the 38th minute of play forced Maragua EC's goalkeeper Luizão Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiago Gabriel Botelho struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Luizão Braga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Metoloko FC. Luizão Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís Tasso in the 42nd minute of the match. Cipriano Figueiredo's late challenge caught a Maragua EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cipriano Figueiredo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Maragua EC booed when Metoloko FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maragua EC made a substitution. Zé Carlos de Barros replaced Erik Favoretto. After a defensive mix-up in Metoloko FC's zone, Chiquinho de Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil de Almeida came out of the goal and Chiquinho de Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Metoloko FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Aníbal de Salles hit a great ball. Metoloko FC's Gil de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Mazza in the 60th minute of play. After 61 minutes, Pedro Luís Tasso made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Maragua EC's Luizão Braga tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. João Paulo Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Gil de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Adilson Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gil de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percival Trevisan, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute.
