Ulysses de Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FLACONQUISTA. Jorge Lonzo charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Lonzo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 played minutes FLACONQUISTA got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Alves. In the 22ndth minute of the game Cristiano Miranda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FLACONQUISTA's Vítor Silva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jorge Lonzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Silva having to interfere. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ulysses de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandão Carneiro in the 36th minute of play. Vítor Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 45 minutes into the match, TERRA NOVA FUTEBOL CLUBE's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandão Carneiro came free, but Ulysses de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind FLACONQUISTA's goalkeeper Vítor Silva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernandão Carneiro made a kick off. Cristiano Miranda took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vítor Silva. Vítor Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 55th minute Fernandão Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 minutes of play, FLACONQUISTA's Fernandão Carneiro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulysses de Alcântara was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristiano Miranda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vítor Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Ulysses de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandão Carneiro in the 68th minute of the match. Fernandão Carneiro scored 2-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulysses de Alcântara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to FLACONQUISTA getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Horácio Linares hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Fernandão Carneiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulysses de Alcântara was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Cristiano Miranda's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vítor Silva firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 88th minute Fernandão Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernandão Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ulysses de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Lonzo got free with Vítor Silva in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernandão Carneiro in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulysses de Alcântara saved TERRA NOVA FUTEBOL CLUBE from getting behind. Fernandão Carneiro scored 3-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulysses de Alcântara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the FLACONQUISTA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
