Martelet's Baldomiro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Martelet from getting a goal against them. In the 11th match minute, Martelet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Paiva to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 12 minutes, Aylal Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EGPS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aylal Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, EGPS's Cléber Dias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baldomiro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Martelet getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Serafim Zanette hit a great ball. Baldomiro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aylal Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Ludomir Murdza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute Aylal Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomiro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aylal Souza in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baldomiro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by EGPS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Frederico Rodrigues was slow to take the kick. During this time Martelet's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Martelet's Frederico Rodrigues to fire away a dangerous shot which Anastasio Sol despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Baldomiro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandrinho Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Martelet defense, Sandrinho Vinhas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baldomiro Navarro. The Martelet fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baldomiro Navarro should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 36 in the game by Cléber Dias from a close distance when the talented Baldomiro Navarro managed to make a qualified save. Martelet's players were relieved. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cléber Dias to strike the kick off in the second half. Martelet's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frederico Rodrigues in the 52nd minute. After taking down the ball on Martelet's corner Frederico Rodrigues fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Anastasio Sol quite easily take care of the ball. Serafim Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in EGPS's zone, Serafim Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anastasio Sol came out of the goal and Serafim Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Martelet's Serafim Zanette in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye EGPS's goalie prevented a goal. Serafim Zanette might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anastasio Sol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Serafim Zanette ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to EGPS getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Marcelo da Rocha hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Serafim Zanette got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aylal Souza in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. After recieving a nice pass, EGPS's Cléber Dias tried to score from far away in the 92nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The EGPS support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
