Joélson Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Pedro Couto in the 16th minute of the match. After 20 minutes of play, Clube Athletico Valão's João Pedro Couto made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joélson Tasso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Laércio Freire received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Virgílio Madureira came out and tried to block the shot, but Laércio Freire slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 25th minute. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, João Pedro Couto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joélson Tasso. SE ARAGUACEMA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Pedro Couto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fábio Salles during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Clube Athletico Valão's Virgílio Madureira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Clube Athletico Valão from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Júnior Negri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maicon Domingues hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. The Clube Athletico Valão players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
