The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Guto Mendonça had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dennis Rhoades. FENIX FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guto Mendonça was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, Norbert Szegh dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dennis Rhoades, 2-0. Clemente Leobardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcin Konieczny in the 12th minute of the match. Clemente Leobardo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcin Konieczny went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Vito Bertassi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dennis Rhoades made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guto Mendonça in the 17th minute. FENIX FC's Dennis Rhoades proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save FENIX FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vito Bertassi in the 20th minute of play forced Benprev's goalkeeper Clemente Leobardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alejo Beltran hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, FENIX FC's goal looked a bit too open when Darío Beite came free, but Dennis Rhoades reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dennis Rhoades made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Norbert Szegh sent off a good shot on target. Benprev's Clemente Leobardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Bertassi in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FENIX FC's Oton Malnar got a free kick in the 29th minute. The audience cheered when Darío Beite's long shot passed Dennis Rhoades's right side. It was 3-1, 30 minutes into the match. Clemente Leobardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcin Konieczny in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Marcin Konieczny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guto Mendonça scored 4-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dennis Rhoades, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Samuel Mesquita kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Clemente Leobardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráusio Madureira in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Guto Mendonça dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dennis Rhoades, 5-1. Dennis Rhoades showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raí Vieira in the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severino Alves was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Norbert Szegh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Rhoades saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the match, FENIX FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raí Vieira came free, but Dennis Rhoades reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dennis Rhoades showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Szegh in the 72nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Raí Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benprev's supporters rose to their feet, but Raí Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennis Rhoades breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dennis Rhoades came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Benprev's Guto Mendonça. But to his dismay, Guto Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. After 80 minutes, Guto Mendonça made it 7-1 with a short kick to the right side. FENIX FC's Dennis Rhoades tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 85 played minutes Benprev got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Mesquita. Clemente Leobardo made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Severino Alves sent off a good shot on target. FENIX FC's Dennis Rhoades played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Szegh in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guto Mendonça in the 94th minute of play forced FENIX FC's goalkeeper Dennis Rhoades to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 97 minutes into the game, Guto Mendonça cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Dennis Rhoades was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the FENIX FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Benprev.
