If Vito Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 minutes of play, FENIX FC's Severino Alves made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celso Sanches was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 27 minutes, Dráusio Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FENIX FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dráusio Madureira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 48 minutes of play, FENIX FC's Severino Alves made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celso Sanches was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severino Alves to make the kick off. With a little luck, Turma do Funil's Celso Sanches got control of the ball when Severino Alves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aloísio Arce scored 0-7 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Celso Sanches, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Severino Alves hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute Marcin Konieczny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Oton Malnar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Celso Sanches. The goal made the score 0-8. Celso Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Alves in the 91st minute of play. The supporters of FENIX FC booed when Turma do Funil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fábio Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dráusio Madureira struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Celso Sanches didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FENIX FC. Celso Sanches came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by FENIX FC's Severino Alves. But to his dismay, Severino Alves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-12. When the match was over FENIX FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Turma do Funil throughout the match.
