In the 3rd minute of the match Benê Capixaba shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Álvaro Porto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Freire FC's Guaberto Lavet couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 9th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cirilo EC. André Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Lavet in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Lavet in the 18th minute of play forced Cirilo EC's goalkeeper André Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guaberto Lavet took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised André Ceresso. André Ceresso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Álvaro Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dé Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th match minute, Freire FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válter Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Cirilo EC's Osvaldinho Marques got a free kick in the 36th minute. A hard shot by Guaberto Lavet from long distance, 36 minutes into the match, got André Ceresso's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jano de Carvalho in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Álvaro Porto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guaberto Lavet made a kick off. André Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guaberto Lavet in the 52nd minute of the match. 53 minutes into the game, Guaberto Lavet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. André Ceresso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. André Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Lavet, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After a rather tough play, Freire FC's Válter Loureiro got a free kick in the 58th minute. Cirilo EC were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Freire FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jano de Carvalho took the corner. The corner ended in Jano de Carvalho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Freire FC's Álvaro Porto did a great save. André Ceresso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Lavet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Álvaro Porto didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 70th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Cirilo EC's André Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guaberto Lavet in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Jano de Carvalho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Álvaro Porto. Jano de Carvalho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Cirilo EC's André Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guaberto Lavet in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute Edison Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson de Medeiros in the 90th minute of play. Freire FC's Dino Quirino got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Freire FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
