In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Furia Football FCOMZ's goalkeeper Jostein Sølvberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22nd minute Jairo Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jostein Sølvberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes, SAO JOANENSE FC's Carlos Eduardo Toledo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jostein Sølvberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SAO JOANENSE FC reached it. A nice corner shot did that Carlos Eduardo Toledo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jostein Sølvberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jairo Dante made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, La Furia Football FCOMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Dante came free, but Jostein Sølvberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, Alessandro Meirelles made a precise shot to the right of Jostein Sølvberg. La Furia Football FCOMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Carlos Penha in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amadeu Lamego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute of the match La Furia Football FCOMZ got a corner. SAO JOANENSE FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomé Ferreira ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in La Furia Football FCOMZ's zone, Jairo Dante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jostein Sølvberg came out of the goal and Jairo Dante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jostein Sølvberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After a defensive mix-up in La Furia Football FCOMZ's zone, Jairo Dante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jostein Sølvberg came out of the goal and Jairo Dante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When SAO JOANENSE FC's Jairo Dante, in the 81st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for SAO JOANENSE FC. Raimundo Pinho hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 86 played minutes SAO JOANENSE FC got a freekick which was hit by André Motta. After 88 played minutes La Furia Football FCOMZ got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Ferreira. Jostein Sølvberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Jostein Sølvberg came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by SAO JOANENSE FC's Jairo Dante. But to his dismay, Jairo Dante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the La Furia Football FCOMZ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SAO JOANENSE FC.
