Spectators: 7677 (Terracing: 5758, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) Discovery's Cristóvão Alvarenga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 minutes of play, Discovery's Cristóvão Alvarenga made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Murillo Peixoto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Murillo Peixoto was a little too slow when Cristóvão Alvarenga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 2-0. Godfredo Teodor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amedeo Mameli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Godfredo Teodor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amedeo Mameli in the 21st minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Jânio Massa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético de Blumenau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Discovery the free kick. After a rather tough play, Atlético de Blumenau's Jânio Massa got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute of the match Michalis Villas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Murillo Peixoto skillfully saved the ball. Godfredo Teodor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amedeo Mameli in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Cristóvão Alvarenga notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Atlético de Blumenau's Murillo Peixoto. Murillo Peixoto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Godfredo Teodor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amedeo Mameli in the 35th minute of play. With a little luck, Atlético de Blumenau's Murillo Peixoto got control of the ball when Cristóvão Alvarenga tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Washington Abreu fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético de Blumenau's protests and gave Washington Abreu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético de Blumenau's goalkeeper Murillo Peixoto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Godfredo Teodor came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético de Blumenau's Tomás Turban. But to his dismay, Tomás Turban quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomás Turban was the one to do the kick off. Amedeo Mameli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Godfredo Teodor made a huge save. In the 55th match minute, Atlético de Blumenau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Guerra to maneuver through the defense. In the 57thth minute of the game Doni da Silva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético de Blumenau's Murillo Peixoto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Murillo Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Alvarenga in the 63rd minute of play. Cristóvão Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Murillo Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amedeo Mameli in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Godfredo Teodor, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Godfredo Teodor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amedeo Mameli in the 74th minute of the match. After 76 minutes, Haroldo Nazario mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atlético de Blumenau and the Discovery players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, Haroldo Nazario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godfredo Teodor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amedeo Mameli went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Godfredo Teodor stood somewhat misplaced when Amedeo Mameli came free in front of goal and shot 3-3 to the left of him in the 88 minute. Amedeo Mameli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Godfredo Teodor having to make a save.
