Dedê Negri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renaud Verdonckt in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute Nilmar Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dedê Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcelo Simões to strike the kick off in the second half. Dedê Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Barros in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Nilmar Eger notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Nordestão Futebol Clube's Dedê Negri. Dedê Negri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Eusébio Barros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dedê Negri was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Nordestão Futebol Clube defense, Nilmar Eger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dedê Negri. The Nordestão Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dedê Negri should have stopped the shot. 70 minutes into the match, Renaud Verdonckt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dedê Negri. Nordestão Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renaud Verdonckt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 12-0. After 74 minutes of play, Inter de Munique's Renaud Verdonckt made it 13-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dedê Negri was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 79th minute, Andoni Donadoni made a precise shot to the right of Dedê Negri. Nordestão Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 14-0. In the 82nd minute, Eusébio Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dedê Negri was frozen by the shot and now it was 15-0. Dedê Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renaud Verdonckt in the 85th minute of play. Dedê Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renaud Verdonckt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the game, Inter de Munique's Jailson da Silva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dedê Negri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 16-0. In the 92nd minute, Andoni Donadoni made a precise shot to the right of Dedê Negri. Nordestão Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 17-0. Dedê Negri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Renaud Verdonckt went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 18-0 was the resulting score. Inter de Munique's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
