Mitnarotov FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Betão Messias ran over to the corner to take the kick. 9 minutes into the match, TheGazette's Antal Földes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Almir Miranda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Mitnarotov FC's zone, Antal Földes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Almir Miranda came out of the goal and Antal Földes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisco Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Müjdat Semin having to interfere. Walmir Quintal hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Pedrão Vianna kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. When Betão Messias came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the TheGazette fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betão Messias couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute, Dito Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gerson Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almir Miranda having to interfere. In the 37thth minute of the game Antal Földes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mitnarotov FC's Almir Miranda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th minute Antal Földes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almir Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júnior Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almir Miranda having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Mitnarotov FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Földes came free, but Almir Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Almir Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Földes in the 46th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Almir Miranda came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by TheGazette's Antal Földes. But to his dismay, Antal Földes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 54th minute, Carlos Eduardo Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Müjdat Semin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Pinto in the 55th minute of the match. Júnior Aparecido might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Almir Miranda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Júnior Aparecido ran back to his position shaking his head. After 61 played minutes Mitnarotov FC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Peres. In the 63rd minute, Walmir Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Antal Földes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute of the match, Gerson Alcântara got a very nice opportunity to score, but Almir Miranda was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Almir Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Földes in the 69th minute of the match. TheGazette's Antal Földes got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antal Földes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almir Miranda having to interfere. Antal Földes in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Almir Miranda, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Júnior Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Müjdat Semin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Pinto in the 91st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, TheGazette's Cássio de Barros got a free kick in the 93rd minute. TheGazette played a much better game than Mitnarotov FC and deserved their victory. The Mitnarotov FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
