The supporters of Laranja Mecatrônica booed when Piao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Oosterveld didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artur Cabral came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Laranja Mecatrônica's Matheus Bertassi. But to his dismay, Matheus Bertassi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Hilbert Thormar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Berger in the 12th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Nelson Berger rounded Laranja Mecatrônica's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. A sloppy throw-in by Víktor de Toledo in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Piao's Gilmar Amaral. The supporters of Piao booed when Laranja Mecatrônica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Víktor de Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredão da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Artur Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Piao's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredão da Rocha came free, but Artur Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Víktor de Toledo fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laranja Mecatrônica's protests and gave Víktor de Toledo a yellow card for diving instead. Víktor de Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Nelson Berger dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hilbert Thormar, 2-1. The audience was convinced that Nelson Berger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hilbert Thormar was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Berger in the 38th minute of play forced Laranja Mecatrônica's goalkeeper Hilbert Thormar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nelson Berger who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Hilbert Thormar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Piao made a substitution. Michal Wojtyna replaced Tostão Tavares. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nelson Berger was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Matheus Bertassi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Artur Cabral. That made the score 2-2 in the 54 minute of play. Hilbert Thormar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Berger in the 58th minute of play. In the 63rd minute Matheus Bertassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Amílton Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 73 played minutes Laranja Mecatrônica got a freekick which was hit by Michel de Castro. Piao's Marcelo dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Piao getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Mario Oosterveld hit a great ball. Gilmar Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Víktor de Toledo hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute Nelson Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilbert Thormar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
