The Laranja Mecatrônica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilbert Thormar should have stopped the shot. Kauã Mandrak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hilbert Thormar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, José Paulo Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hilbert Thormar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 17 minutes into the game, Vânderson Vianna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laranja Mecatrônica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Retumbante FC the free kick. After 17 played minutes Laranja Mecatrônica got a freekick which was hit by Vânderson Vianna. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Paulo Mendonça in the 18th minute of play forced Laranja Mecatrônica's goalkeeper Hilbert Thormar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, José Paulo Mendonça left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Retumbante FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Paulo Mendonça in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hilbert Thormar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho Bittencourt in the 22nd minute of play forced Laranja Mecatrônica's goalkeeper Hilbert Thormar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matheus Bertassi kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute José Paulo Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilbert Thormar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apat Reina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matheus Bertassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belmiro Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilbert Thormar having to interfere. Hilbert Thormar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauã Mandrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Frank Gonçalves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hilbert Thormar. Laranja Mecatrônica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Gonçalves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. After the first half Retumbante FC were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matheus Bertassi to make the kick off. When Nelson Novaes fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laranja Mecatrônica's protests and gave Nelson Novaes a yellow card for diving instead. After 55 played minutes Laranja Mecatrônica got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Novaes. 58 minutes into the game, one of Laranja Mecatrônica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Hilbert Thormar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Paulo Mendonça in the 63rd minute of the match. Kauã Mandrak scored 0-10 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hilbert Thormar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Retumbante FC made a substitution. Jarbas Dantas replaced Basílio Cearense. 71 minutes into the match, Laranja Mecatrônica's goalkeeper Hilbert Thormar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Belmiro Mello. 75 minutes into the match, José Paulo Mendonça notched a goal, 0-12, to the right of Laranja Mecatrônica's Hilbert Thormar. Hilbert Thormar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. José Paulo Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hilbert Thormar having to make a save. 83 minutes into the match, Laranja Mecatrônica's goal looked a bit too open when Kauã Mandrak came free, but Hilbert Thormar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Laranja Mecatrônica getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Gabriel Dracena hit a great ball. José Paulo Mendonça might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hilbert Thormar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Paulo Mendonça ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Gonçalves got free with Hilbert Thormar in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hilbert Thormar made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Paulo Mendonça in the 90th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Retumbante FC's Fabinho Bittencourt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hilbert Thormar. That made the score 0-13 after 91 minutes of play. After 95 minutes, Gabriel Dracena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laranja Mecatrônica and the Retumbante FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
