Artur Cabral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bonival made a substitution. Marko Boev replaced Percy de Queiroz. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christiano Ramalho in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Artur Cabral saved Piao from getting behind. Piao's Artur Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Macias Calvete in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Macias Calvete in the 35th minute of play forced Piao's goalkeeper Artur Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee gave Bonival a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Percival Cardoso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Piao's Artur Cabral. 0-3. After having played for 46 minutes, Tostão Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tostão Tavares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Piao's Michal Wojtyna was substituted for Tostão Tavares. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christiano Ramalho was the one to do the kick off. After 89 played minutes Bonival got a freekick which was hit by Marko Boev. In the 90th match minute, Bonival was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldinho Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldinho Peixotos short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Artur Cabral to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pastor Chesus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Berger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
