Svetlan Delchev kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. The long shot by Adalberto Furtado in the 5th minute really tested Artur Romanov's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Casper Huygens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cleiton de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After having played for 11 minutes, Cacá Falcão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atomy de Rondônia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cacá Falcão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anatoliy Lobanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Dragons EC's zone, Cleiton de Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Huygens came out of the goal and Cleiton de Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dragons EC's Casper Huygens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boris Schache in the 23rd minute of play. After 24 minutes Dragons EC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Paulo Bastos who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Paulo Bastos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Dragons EC's Casper Huygens did a great save. Cirilo Constancio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Atomy de Rondônia's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Nørlyk came free, but Artur Romanov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute of the match Svetlan Delchev sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Casper Huygens skillfully saved the ball. In the 32ndth minute of the game Cacá Falcão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragons EC's Casper Huygens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Casper Huygens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cacá Falcão in the 33rd minute of play. Dragons EC's Casper Huygens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá Falcão in the 35th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Cacá Falcão notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Dragons EC's Casper Huygens. Casper Huygens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cirilo Constancio scored 0-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casper Huygens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cleiton de Mendonça in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Huygens saved Dragons EC from getting behind. In the 46th minute, Cristiano Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Atomy de Rondônia's goalkeeper Artur Romanov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adam Nørlyk. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cleiton de Mendonça stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cleiton de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artur Romanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Sampaio in the 55th minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Dragons EC's César Sampaio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Artur Romanov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Cacá Falcão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Casper Huygens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artur Romanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manoel Pitta in the 60th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Anatoliy Lobanov put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Artur Romanov. 66 minutes into the match, Dragons EC's goalkeeper Casper Huygens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cleiton de Mendonça. Casper Huygens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cirilo Constancio in the 67th minute of the match. Artur Romanov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anatoliy Lobanov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Artur Romanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Nørlyk in the 79th minute of play. Casper Huygens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svetlan Delchev in the 83rd minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, Cleiton de Mendonça cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Casper Huygens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. José Alagoano charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Alagoano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cleiton de Mendonça might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Casper Huygens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cleiton de Mendonça ran back to his position shaking his head. Casper Huygens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleiton de Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudinho Braga hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Paulo Bastos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Dragons EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Atomy de Rondônia's performance. The match ended with a win for Atomy de Rondônia.
