Istivan Crainic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Albuquerque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 played minutes Besouro SS got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Neto. In the 21st minute Geraldo Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Istivan Crainic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Istivan Crainic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Gonçalves in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the match THE MAYA got a corner. Besouro SS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Istivan Crainic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Azevedo in the 58th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Zé Kobra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinho Taffarel was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Jailson Paranaense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudinho Taffarel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. THE MAYA's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
