Claudinho Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luís Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jailson Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Taffarel having to interfere. Leopoldo Sá made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Albuquerque in the 23rd minute. If Jailson Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gilmar Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Leopoldo Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Téo Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Ramiro Zanette hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jailson Arantes in the 56th minute of play forced THE MAYA's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 minutes of play, A.C. Mediolanum's Jailson Arantes made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinho Taffarel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leopoldo Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Albuquerque in the 59th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Sílvio Luís Gerber could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Claudinho Taffarel however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jailson Arantes in the 67th minute of play forced THE MAYA's goalkeeper Claudinho Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramiro Zanette charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramiro Zanette the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. THE MAYA's Carlos Eduardo Novaes was substituted for Téo Rossi. A collision led to A.C. Mediolanum getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ramiro Zanette hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilmar Azevedo in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leopoldo Sá prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilmar Azevedo in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leopoldo Sá saved A.C. Mediolanum from getting behind. 庞升庭 hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Marco Albuquerque sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87thth minute of the game Gilmar Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.C. Mediolanum's Leopoldo Sá was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Marco Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The THE MAYA fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when THE MAYA's Marco Albuquerque looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A.C. Mediolanum's Leopoldo Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Azevedo in the 95th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. THE MAYA were victorious despite being under pressure from A.C. Mediolanum for much of the match.
