Club Atlético Minas's Doni Netto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Carlos da Fonseca in the 19th minute of play. With a little luck, Club Atlético Minas's Doni Netto got control of the ball when Jailson Paranaense tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th minute, Jailson Paranaense reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Doni Netto. The goal made the score 4-0. 42 minutes into the match, Zé Kobra notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Club Atlético Minas's Doni Netto. Doni Netto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 47 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Minas's goalkeeper Doni Netto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dedê Dionísio.

Jailson Paranaense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Besouro SS's Zé Kobra in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atlético Minas's goalie prevented a goal. Doni Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silas Zanette in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute Dedê Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doni Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Sílvio Proença was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Minas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Besouro SS the free kick. A collision led to Club Atlético Minas getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Sílvio Proença hit a great ball. After 61 played minutes, Besouro SS's Silas Zanette shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Doni Netto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Besouro SS reached it. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Minas's Aníbal Martins got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Jailson Paranaense put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Doni Netto. In the 67th minute Dedê Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doni Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Jailson Paranaense came free, but Doni Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jailson Paranaense in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doni Netto saved Club Atlético Minas from getting behind. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Zé Kobra sped through Club Atlético Minas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Doni Netto. 78 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Dedê Dionísio came free, but Doni Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Luís Eduardo Veiga fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Minas's protests and gave Luís Eduardo Veiga a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 81st minute of the game. One of Club Atlético Minas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Besouro SS:s goal. In the 88th match minute, Club Atlético Minas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egídio Travassos to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samuel Moraes in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doni Netto saved Club Atlético Minas from getting behind. There was no doubt that Besouro SS were the better team. Besouro SS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
