Scarlet Metal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alfa FC the free kick. Alfa FC's Pedrinho de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Severo in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Lesardo in the 12th minute of play forced Scarlet Metal FC's goalkeeper Toninho Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfa FC's Gogo Lesardo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 14th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gogo Lesardo in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toninho Lago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Fábio Pontes during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gogo Lesardo in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Toninho Lago saved Scarlet Metal FC from getting behind. Alfa FC's Pedrinho de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstantin Ksirihi in the 25th minute of play. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Gogo Lesardo sped through Scarlet Metal FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Toninho Lago. Ferreirinha Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Scarlet Metal FC's goalkeeper Toninho Lago, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Alfa FC booed when Scarlet Metal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Fernando Severo took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedrinho de Queirós. Pedrinho de Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Gogo Lesardo made the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, Scarlet Metal FC's Régis Paiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedrinho de Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Alfa FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Konstantin Ksirihi was slow to take the kick. During this time Scarlet Metal FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Scarlet Metal FC's Konstantin Ksirihi to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedrinho de Queirós despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Konstantin Ksirihi notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Alfa FC's Pedrinho de Queirós. Pedrinho de Queirós was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Alfa FC's Pedrinho de Queirós got control of the ball when Régis Paiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Alfa FC's Geovani Viana got a free kick in the 76th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Fernando Severo got free with Pedrinho de Queirós in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Scarlet Metal FC's Rodrigo Leite got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Luís Fábio Pontes, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
