The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emerson Salles came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Sagarana Clube's Éder Madureira. But to his dismay, Éder Madureira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 13th play minute Yu Yang Sang came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Emerson Salles. 2-0. A collision led to Oiteiras getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Silas Magalhães hit a great ball. Benedito Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kiko Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raúl do Valle charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raúl do Valle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th match minute, Oiteiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl do Valle to maneuver through the defense. Éder Madureira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Emerson Salles made a huge save. It was a well-played corner which Yu Yang Sang managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 33 minutes into the game, Amílton Pereira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oiteiras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sagarana Clube the free kick. The supporters of Sagarana Clube booed when Oiteiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílton Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emerson Salles was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Éder Madureira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Éder Madureira really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serafim Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Oiteiras's César Cabral got a free kick in the 51st minute. After some careless play in the Oiteiras defense, Yu Yang Sang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emerson Salles. The Oiteiras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emerson Salles should have stopped the shot. Oiteiras made a substitution. Luiz Paulo Santos replaced Kiko Velasco. Oiteiras made a substitution. Dime Darrell replaced Silas Magalhães. Narciso Tinoco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benedito Trigo came out and tried to block the shot, but Narciso Tinoco slotted it home off the left post making it 5-1 in the 64th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Yu Yang Sang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sagarana Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Yu Yang Sang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oiteiras's Agnaldo Pontes was substituted for Adilson Reis. In the 71st match minute, Sagarana Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Barros to maneuver through the defense. Sagarana Clube's Bruno Salles was substituted for Éder Madureira. Sagarana Clube's Fabrício de Alcântara was substituted for Leonardo Pernambucano. 74 minutes into the match, Sagarana Clube's goalkeeper Benedito Trigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Narciso Tinoco. In the 78th minute Yu Yang Sang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emerson Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Agnaldo Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renatinho Loyola charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Renatinho Loyola the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Oiteiras fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! In the 86th minute there was a penalty for Sagarana Clube. Serafim Barros stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Emerson Salles. 6-1. In the 90th minute, Bruno Salles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sagarana Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. Benedito Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Paulo Santos in the 93rd minute of the match. Emerson Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sagarana Clube fully deserved thier win.
