In the 14th minute, 龙远雄 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bangu RJ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Arnaldo Laguna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 龙远雄 in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Fernando da Fonseca saved Tracunhaem from getting behind. When the match had been going on for 43 minutes, Bangu RJ's Fabiano Alves got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Luiz Fernando da Fonseca. The audience thought a goal was coming when 龙远雄 got free with Luiz Fernando da Fonseca in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Luiz Fernando da Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniele Gentili in the 51st minute of play. Bangu RJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prudencio Hustaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tracunhaem's zone, 龙远雄 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fernando da Fonseca came out of the goal and 龙远雄 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Fernando da Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Bolander, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute, Arnaldo Laguna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 龙远雄 struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Luiz Fernando da Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bangu RJ. In the 92nd match minute, Tracunhaem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio Koehler to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the game, 龙远雄 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Luiz Fernando da Fonseca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Bangu RJ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
