An unexpectedly hard shot by Josef Pecka in the 42nd minute of play forced Jacareipe's goalkeeper Aki Nao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adilson Furtado during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gino Marques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. GRADIM F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vitin Corzana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After some careless play in the GRADIM F.C defense, Justo Enmanuel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucien Melis. The GRADIM F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucien Melis should have stopped the shot. Jacareipe's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
