The audience was convinced that Edmund Balkiewicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Otávio Dante was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Guga de Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Narciso Mendes in the 30th minute. Xandeco FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Narciso Mendes scored to the left of an out of position Guga de Azevedo, making the score, 3-0. Otávio Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jaru-Uaru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lino Vander was slow to take the kick. During this time Xandeco FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Lino Vander got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Otávio Dante quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lino Vander shot a long shot in the 36th minute and a light blocked Otávio Dante hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Narciso Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaru-Uaru's supporters rose to their feet, but Narciso Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guga de Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicolas Nóbrega hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmund Balkiewicz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Jeremias Luzea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 55 played minutes Jaru-Uaru got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fernando Vides. In the 62nd match minute, Jaru-Uaru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Mendes to maneuver through the defense. Nicolas Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Otávio Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Xandeco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando Vides came free, but Guga de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Jaru-Uaru's goalkeeper Otávio Dante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Torres. Narciso Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xandeco FC's Enio Ceresso was substituted for Luiz Torres. Nicasio Abreu might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guga de Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicasio Abreu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Xandeco FC's goalkeeper Guga de Azevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Nóbrega in the 86th minute of play forced Jaru-Uaru's goalkeeper Otávio Dante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Otávio Dante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enio Ceresso in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd match minute, Jaru-Uaru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Xandeco FC made a substitution.
