Fausto do Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maicon Tinoco's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute of the match Mashoutsukai Sport Klub got a corner. Avantchê's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Natanael Faria ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tony da Silveira was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Leão in the 36th minute of play forced Avantchê's goalkeeper Fausto do Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mashoutsukai Sport Klub's Guto Wilson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Cardoso in the 38th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Abraão got free with Guto Wilson in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guto Wilson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusebio Rajoi in the 44th minute. With a little luck, Mashoutsukai Sport Klub's Guto Wilson got control of the ball when Eusebio Rajoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The supporters of Mashoutsukai Sport Klub booed when Avantchê was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Usain Bolt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fausto do Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maicon Tinoco's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. 64 minutes into the game, Adriano Abraão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Guto Wilson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fernando Pernambucano in the 71st minute of play forced Mashoutsukai Sport Klub's goalkeeper Guto Wilson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Maicon Tinoco lined in a short shot 2-3 behind a frustrated Fausto do Valle. 80 minutes into the match, Mashoutsukai Sport Klub's goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Cardoso came free, but Guto Wilson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mashoutsukai Sport Klub eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
