The crowd rose to their feet as Avantchê's Adriano Abraão slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tales de Medeiros. That made the score 9-0 after 46 minutes of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 90th minute, Douglas Cardoso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Avantchê fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 16-0. Tales de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Rajoi in the 93rd minute of the match.
