After a rather tough play, Eda Roots's Antonio Manuelo got a free kick in the 6th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Eda Roots's Dorival Bueno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Romário Dantas. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. 18 minutes into the game, Dorival Bueno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Romário Dantas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Laranja EC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luiz Fábio Moreno 22 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. Walmyr Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Luiz Fábio Moreno scored 4-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Romário Dantas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Laranja EC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Perivaldo Amaral hit a great ball. Romário Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fábio Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romário Dantas was a little too slow when Luiz Fábio Moreno got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 5-0. Antonio Manuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Romário Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Laranja EC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Walmyr Valle hit a great ball. With a little luck, Laranja EC's Romário Dantas got control of the ball when Dorival Bueno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when João Vítor Dante made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Laranja EC booed when Eda Roots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Laranja EC's Cafu do Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Vítor Dante in the 53rd minute of play forced Eda Roots's goalkeeper Ronaldão Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benjamin Eger in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romário Dantas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Romário Dantas came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Eda Roots's Dorival Bueno. But to his dismay, Dorival Bueno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Antonio Manuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Romário Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Didi Barros during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th match minute, Laranja EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Didi Barros to maneuver through the defense. Gernando Aparecido charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gernando Aparecido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Eda Roots had played much better football throughout.
