After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Joseph Asklöv managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esporte Clube Pilar's supporters rose to their feet, but Joseph Asklöv was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldão Arósio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eda Roots's Ronaldão Arósio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Eda Roots from getting a goal against them. Roch Orszak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Neto in the 82nd minute of play. Roch Orszak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fábio Moreno in the 83rd minute of the match. If Ulises Urtats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
