In the 9thth minute of the game Dênis Félix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SPFC's Dida Mazzola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, SPFC's Luisinho Mangueira got a free kick in the 10th minute. Ulises Gutierrez made in the 12th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Emerson Sena immediately put the ball in play. 19 minutes into the game, Xande Cachorro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dida Mazzola. Xande Cachorro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Teodoro Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herminio Izel, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25thth minute of the game Dênis Félix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SPFC's Dida Mazzola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dida Mazzola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dênis Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Dênis Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot. São Paulo da Floresta's supporters rose to their feet, but Dênis Félix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dida Mazzola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute of the match, Dênis Félix tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dida Mazzola saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kuzey Şahinter kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. SPFC's Dida Mazzola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dênis Félix in the 46th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisinho Mangueira to make the kick off. Teodoro Jacinto was a little too slow when Chicão Motta got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 2-1. Teodoro Jacinto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ernesto Prosperi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 95 minute of play. SPFC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing São Paulo da Floresta to leave the ground with a draw.
