In the 15th minute of the match, Duda Saraiva got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cipriano Catarinense was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Acácio Guimarães didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anthimos Tsoulkas went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Nazmija Stojković fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Demolidor de Campeões's protests and gave Nazmija Stojković a yellow card for diving instead. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anthimos Tsoulkas made a kick off. Thomás Kroos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Cipriano Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinho Penha charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudinho Penha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rodrigo Fernandez was slow to take the kick. During this time Demolidor de Campeões's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Rodrigo Fernandez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fenix's Acácio Guimarães did a great save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fenix fans cheered their team off the field, for while Demolidor de Campeões had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
