The referee gave Matthew Mestdagh a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a defensive mix-up in Badejo FC's zone, Jaime Braga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristián Montes in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Alberto Gerber prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute, Elliot Lind made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Alberto Gerber. Badejo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Edgard Fantini hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Adelino Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 82nd match minute, Badejo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurício de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. The goalkeeper, Carlos Alberto Gerber, was totally fooled by IPANEMA FC's Elliot Lind, who 93 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 96 minutes into the game, Elliot Lind cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Carlos Alberto Gerber was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The IPANEMA FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
