Silverio Lop hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Denílson Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro de Amorim in the 16th minute of play. João Pedro de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denílson Leão having to interfere. In the 24th minute of the match Pecém got a corner. Marxistas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ibon Obeso ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ibon Obeso got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vladimir Costa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lucio Austin hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Pecém defense, Jarbas Siqueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Denílson Leão. The Pecém fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denílson Leão should have stopped the shot. Denílson Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarbas Siqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Pedro de Amorim might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Denílson Leão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Pedro de Amorim ran back to his position shaking his head.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xie Shu Tian to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Marxistas got a freekick which was hit by 吕耀凡. The supporters of Marxistas booed when Pecém was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ibon Obeso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marxistas's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
