The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luís Prata was a little too slow when Wellington Phoenix got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Luís Prata was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and 詹俊 á Bø capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. 詹俊 á Bø really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 詹俊 á Bø took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Prata. Luís Prata dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Luís Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeu Zonta in the 13th minute of the match. Cupia's Luís Prata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Cupia from getting a goal against them. Luiz Paulo Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, 詹俊 á Bø had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Prata. Cupia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 詹俊 á Bø was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. In the 25th minute, Luis Mikolas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Prata was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tadeu Zonta got free with Luís Prata in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute Luis Mikolas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Wellington Phoenix's Tadeu Zonta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luís Prata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Luís Prata was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 詹俊 á Bø made a kick off. In the 51st minute 詹俊 á Bø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The attack was good, but when Tadeu Zonta in the 53rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 54 minutes into the match, Cupia's goal looked a bit too open when 詹俊 á Bø came free, but Luís Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, 詹俊 á Bø quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. 詹俊 á Bø recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 66th minute, 詹俊 á Bø ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Prata was frozen by the shot and now it was 13-0. Wellington Phoenix made a substitution. Conrado Quadros replaced Wellington Phoenix. Luís Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 詹俊 á Bø in the 71st minute of the match. Sandro Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by 詹俊 á Bø in the 80th minute of play forced Cupia's goalkeeper Luís Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 詹俊 á Bø in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Prata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 81 minutes into the game, Wellington Phoenix's Conrado Quadros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luís Prata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 15-0. Cupia's Luís Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 詹俊 á Bø in the 85th minute of play. Luis Mikolas scored 16-0 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Prata, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 90 minutes into the match, Tadeu Zonta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Prata. There was no doubt that Wellington Phoenix were the better team. Wellington Phoenix's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
