The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcel Sanches was the one to do the kick off. If Claudio Lepori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taquaril SS:s Eugênio Recife showed great skill when he stopped Simão da Silveira:s penalty. When José Paulo Viana came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Taquaril SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Paulo Viana couldn't finish the play. Rodriguinho Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 minutes Taquaril SS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Simão da Silveira who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Marcelinho do Valle heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The supporters of Bem Bolado booed when Taquaril SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão da Silveira in the 83rd minute of play forced Taquaril SS's goalkeeper Eugênio Recife to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
