If Oscar Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wambasther Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyryl Hodas in the 10th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Murilo Rodrigues during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Olimpia booed when Trahira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adilson Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Olimpia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Delbert Grady fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Tiberiu Paulescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Wambasther Navas made a huge save. In the 27th minute of the match Trahira FC got a corner. Olimpia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Delbert Grady ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Delbert Grady got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wambasther Navas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 30th minute Americo Abilio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wambasther Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wasyl Lemiesz in the 35th minute of play forced Trahira FC's goalkeeper Xavier Verhaeghen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delbert Grady succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 37th playminute. The crowd rose to their feet as Trahira FC's Romário de Souza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wambasther Navas. That made the score 2-0 after 41 minutes of play. In the 45th match minute, Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Maia to maneuver through the defense. Delbert Grady, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Wambasther Navas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cyryl Hodas in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Delbert Grady stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delbert Grady in the 52nd minute of play forced Olimpia's goalkeeper Wambasther Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Cyryl Hodas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wambasther Navas. Olimpia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cyryl Hodas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Wasyl Lemiesz hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. When Cyryl Hodas fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trahira FC's protests and gave Cyryl Hodas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Cyryl Hodas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jerônimo Romero shot from long distance in the 64th minute, but Xavier Verhaeghen was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. 66 minutes into the match, Olimpia's goal looked a bit too open when Cyryl Hodas came free, but Wambasther Navas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 played minutes Olimpia got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Trancoso. 76 minutes into the match, Trahira FC's Romário de Souza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wambasther Navas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Olimpia getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Jerônimo Romero hit a great ball. Tiberiu Paulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Wambasther Navas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Olimpia's goal looked a bit too open when Tiberiu Paulescu came free, but Wambasther Navas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wambasther Navas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romário de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After a rather tough play, Trahira FC's Americo Abilio got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 93rd minute of the match, Wasyl Lemiesz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Xavier Verhaeghen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Olimpia were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Trahira FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jerônimo Romero took the corner. Wambasther Navas came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Trahira FC's Delbert Grady. But to his dismay, Delbert Grady quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Trahira FC fully deserved thier win.
