The Rezende FC fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Rezende FC's Bernardinho Cardoso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Tasso in the 19th minute of play forced Cedrolina SC's goalkeeper Artur Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes, Dino Goiano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cedrolina SC and the Rezende FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd minute, Dino Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaltino Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Reynaldo das Neves made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Cesinha Esteves sent off a good shot on target. Cedrolina SC's Artur Paraense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Cedrolina SC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 54 minutes, Afonsinho Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rezende FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonsinho Tasso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sebastião Sergipano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rezende FC made a substitution. Lauro Vander replaced Manoel Montenegro. Rezende FC's Afonsinho Tasso got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Waldir Cavalcante kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to Cedrolina SC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Alessandro Carioca hit a great ball. After 69 played minutes Rezende FC got a freekick which was hit by Ediberto Linares. Cedrolina SC's Artur Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardinho Cardoso in the 72nd minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Alessandro Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cesinha Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Reynaldo das Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 79 minutes, Dino Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cedrolina SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dino Goiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89thth minute of the game Bernardinho Cardoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cedrolina SC's Artur Paraense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Artur Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardinho Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Rezende FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cedrolina SC.
