BOA VISTA E.C.'s Célio Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Romero in the 34th minute of play. Célio Varela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredinho Aparecido's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramón Madureira during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ramón Madureira hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Nicolas Romero struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Célio Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Minuano. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominik Piglowski couldn't finish the play. Claudinho Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atlético Minuano's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
