After some careless play in the Afligidos defense, Basarab Bîlbă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulão Breckenfeld. The Afligidos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulão Breckenfeld should have stopped the shot. If Mathias Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulão Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basarab Bîlbă in the 9th minute of play. Dário Travassos hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 15 minutes of play, ECS FK's Basarab Bîlbă made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Paulão Breckenfeld was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th minute, Kléber Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulão Breckenfeld took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milutin Mrenović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Milutin Mrenović received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Paulão Breckenfeld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Milutin Mrenović in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulão Breckenfeld prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mathias Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulão Breckenfeld having to interfere. Milutin Mrenović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulão Breckenfeld took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milutin Mrenović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basarab Bîlbă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 34th minute Basarab Bîlbă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulão Breckenfeld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathias Freire might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulão Breckenfeld. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mathias Freire ran back to his position shaking his head. After 38 minutes, Carlos Alberto Araújo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Afligidos and the ECS FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th minute, Carlos Alberto Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afligidos's Paulão Breckenfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milutin Mrenović in the 39th minute of play. The ECS FK fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when ECS FK's Basarab Bîlbă looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Roberto Aguiar to make the kick off. Rafael Rezende made in the 58th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Afligidos's Zé Augusto Mendonça. 60 minutes into the match, Basarab Bîlbă had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulão Breckenfeld. Afligidos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Basarab Bîlbă was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Antonín Škoda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Mathias Freire took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Paulão Breckenfeld to make any attempt to save it. Paulão Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davis Damasceno in the 70th minute of play. Paulão Breckenfeld showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thiago Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Paulão Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stellan Kalfhage in the 73rd minute of play. After 74 played minutes Afligidos got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto Araújo. In the 75th minute of the match Marcel Şimandan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulão Breckenfeld showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Paulão Breckenfeld made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davis Damasceno in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Afligidos's goalkeeper Paulão Breckenfeld, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mathias Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulão Breckenfeld having to interfere. After 82 played minutes Thiago Nascimento rounded Afligidos's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-9. The crowd rose to their feet as ECS FK's Thiago Nascimento slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulão Breckenfeld. That made the score 0-10 after 86 minutes of play. Paulão Breckenfeld came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by ECS FK's Davis Damasceno. But to his dismay, Davis Damasceno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-12. Davis Damascenos short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Paulão Breckenfeld to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the final whistle sounded ECS FK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Afligidos.
