Flavinho Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Aikivida's Charles Domingues seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Charles Domingues the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Aikivida protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Charles Domingues had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Aikivida:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jataí:s goal. The referee gave Jataí a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nico Hülkenberg, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Aikivida's Daniel Lopes. 1-0. Osmar Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavinho Loyola in the 18th minute of play forced Aikivida's goalkeeper Daniel Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Jataí getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Eliseu Saldanha hit a great ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Dimo Abeijon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aikivida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dimo Abeijon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute, Sérgio Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimo Abeijon in the 30th minute of play forced Jataí's goalkeeper Osmar Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Aikivida defense, Eliseu Martins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Lopes. The Aikivida fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Lopes should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Dimo Abeijon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aikivida's supporters rose to their feet, but Dimo Abeijon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osmar Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Osmar Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adalberto Torres in the 43rd minute of the match. Daniel Lopes came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Jataí's Nico Hülkenberg. But to his dismay, Nico Hülkenberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseu Martins was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Wilian Melo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osmar Rossi was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Flavinho Loyola kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Dimo Abeijon's shot from long distance in the 56th minute was not bad at all, but Jataí's Osmar Rossi knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. 57 minutes into the game, Eliseu Saldanha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jataí's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aikivida the free kick. Eliseu Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Jataí's goalkeeper Osmar Rossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dimo Abeijon. Osmar Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Cardozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 65th match minute, Jataí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Eneas to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Aikivida's Dimo Abeijon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-4. Aikivida made a substitution. Dedé de Lima replaced Aloísio Prestes. Flavinho Loyola hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Osmar Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Torres in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Pedro Luiz Cardozo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Osmar Rossi. The goal made the score 3-5. With a little luck, Jataí's Osmar Rossi got control of the ball when Pedro Luiz Cardozo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Dedé de Lima kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Osmar Rossi. That made the score 3-6 in the 90 minute of play. After 94 played minutes Jataí got a freekick which was hit by Flavinho Loyola. Osmar Rossi didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Aikivida's Dedé de Lima shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-7 in the ordered_time% minute. Aikivida's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
