In the 13th minute Augusto Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serginho Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Tasso having to interfere. After 19th play minutes Serginho Aguiar shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Tomás Tasso and just under the crossbar into goal. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Márcio Veloso sped through Coritiba City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of 冯雄翀. Cássio Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Nova Era's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Augusto Arce came free, but Tomás Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Germano Rosado might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Germano Rosado ran back to his position shaking his head. The Coritiba City fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Coritiba City's Serginho Aguiar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Pedro Augusto Arce fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coritiba City's protests and gave Pedro Augusto Arce a yellow card for diving instead. The Nova Era players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Coritiba City were winning 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dalmo Recife to strike the kick off in the second half. Nestor Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomás Tasso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Germano Rosado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 58 minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Germano Rosado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tomás Tasso. Nova Era's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Germano Rosado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Cássio Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Tomás Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Augusto Arce in the 67th minute of play. Tomás Tasso was a little too slow when Pedro Augusto Arce got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-6. Tomás Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Augusto Arce in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Pedro Augusto Arce reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tomás Tasso. The goal made the score 1-7. After a rather tough play, Coritiba City's Cássio Santos got a free kick in the 81st minute. 87 minutes into the match, Serginho Aguiar notched a goal, 1-8, to the right of Nova Era's Tomás Tasso. Tomás Tasso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Germano Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Augusto Arce in the 92nd minute of play forced Nova Era's goalkeeper Tomás Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomás Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over Coritiba City could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Nova Era throughout the match.
