Geovânio Hoffmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serginho Aguiar in the 14th minute of the match. After having played for 23 minutes, Serginho Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coritiba City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serginho Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute Serginho Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovânio Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olímpico FC's Agnaldo Carneiro shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 30th minute of play. The shot was stopped by 冯雄翀 but with some difficulty. 32 minutes into the match, Abel Carvalho notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Coritiba City's 冯雄翀. 冯雄翀 was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 冯雄翀 was a little too slow when David Aiach got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Aiach scored 3-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 冯雄翀, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 91 minutes into the match, Abel Carvalho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of 冯雄翀. Coritiba City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abel Carvalho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0.
